Sunday May 29

Almost the end of May, how time flies.
No work this weekend but still busy. Julian and I went on a photo shoot around town, playing tourists with cameras. Of course, I had to create a layout to record the event. I used this weeks Let's Scrap Layout.

Happy Queen Victoria Day!
Doesn't feel like spring here in my neck of the woods.
I'd be happy to put up with the black flies if it was warm enough to actually work in the garden.
Here a couple cards I made away back when I thought spring was just around the corner.
Used the Cricut to cut the birds and frames.

Sunday May 22

Not having much time for play this weekend, all work no play actually.
Did take time to create a card last night for the LS weekly challenge & to my surprise it made it up to a featured layout. Swing on over to Let's Scrap and check out some of the wonderful cards the other ladies have created.
I added a link to Beach Front Scrapbooking, Barb has gotten her blog up and running, looks good Barb.
Barb is responsible for getting me hooked on "Basic Grey" paper, as if I needed someone to feed my paper addiction.
Here's the card I did last night, since I am turning "50" this year I can't stop making age related cards; must be my way with dealing with the age thing.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday and long weekend too boot!
Creating layouts for the Let's Scrap NSD Challenges as given me a chance to catch up on some pictures I hadn't scrapbooked. At the rate I am going I will reach my goal of 100 layouts in 2011 before the end of the year.
Hard to believe I had pics of DS from his minor hockey days that I had never did anything with.
Well, better late than never.

NSD 2011 at Let's Scrap

Finally feels like Spring here in my part of the world!
Shout out to all the wonderful ladies over at Let's Scrap. http://letsscrap.ning.com
They are running month long challenges in celebration of National Scrapbooking Day.
Go over and check out some of the great entries, the ladies all do such beautiful work.
I was lucky enough to be able to issue a challenge to the ladies. It involves creating a layout with no pictures.
Not using pictures can be a challenge in itself, but a wonderful opportunity to do an album title page or record an event you have no pictures for.
These are the two samples I posted with my challenge.

After some thought, I have decided to use a pic of tags I made using picutres of mom & dad as my first upload. Enjoyed making these tags, love Tim Holtz products.
My first post. So exciting to have a blog of my own.
Love to scrapbook, so check in again to view some of my work.
